Stork News

Since we haven't officially announced on our blog yet, I thought it would be good to share the news to our friends and family who still may be in the dark... we are pregnant with our second baby! It is an exciting and unbelievable time especially since Sweetpea is still a baby herself. We are about 15 and a half weeks into our pregnancy, so I'm hoping that all morning sickness will subside. My current super power that still sometimes bother me? an extraordinarily heightened sense of smell. Though I'm able to eat this time around, food was or has oftentimes still been unappealing. Other than that, I definitely started showing much earlier and seem to be bigger... so we think it could possibly be a boy, but it could also be due to the fact that this is my second pregnancy and everything (as they say) is looser :) Today we had an OB appointment, and baby's hearbeat was at 157 beats per minute. Now, whether or not that tells you the gender, you decide. I also finally got my thimerosal free H1N1 vaccine today, so I'll be okay to travel during the Christmas holidays... Doctor says it takes about 2 weeks for the antibodies to kick in and accumulate/learn resistance. Now, we just need to find a place that can offer the h1 vaccine to Sweetpea (hopefully one without mercury if possible), but it is difficult enough as it is since supply is limited and even her pediatrician's office is not scheduling children to get the shots. Basically, the only way to get a shot is if you already have an appointment at the clinic for a different reason, so we will have to wait and be more cautious.

As for other Sweetpea news, as you know, with a busy, curious, and active toddler, there are places that little ones may venture to explore... Here are a couple she likes...

And her latest favorite...

Because Sweetpea is quite fast as well, she sometimes falls. Poor thing scared us when she fell at church this past weekend and had a pool of blood in her mouth. Fortunately, after inspection by uncle and auntie doctor and dentist, it wasn't as bad as it looked; seems that her teeth cut her lower right lip when she fell. Today, on the carpeted hallway back from the OB office, Sweetpea fell again and seemed to have acquired a bruise by her eye... looks like she may be our panda child by morning :( Here's a photo of her we took moments ago. Our poor little Sweetpea...
