Conversation with Daddy

Celebration at the Farm

Children arriving

Tears of joy...okay, maybe just overwhelmed; it's tough saying good-bye to babyhood. "It's my party; I can cry if I want to..."

Lots of animals to see & pet at the farm. Here I am with daddy, visiting the horses.

Up close with the chickens

and the bunnies

The line-up to see and feel the woolie sheep

Then, off to make some of our own

Party time

Mommy with my baby brother along with other happyfish mommies and babies. This was my baby brother's first official outing... a trip to the party room just to celebrate my birthday!

Daddy and Mommy needed to put me closer to the candle on the cake because it was too far and hard for me to blow... but in the end, wishes were made and we got to eat cake!

Fun at the playground on the farm grounds after the party. Thank goodness mommy brought me a change of clothes.

Thank you everyone for celebrating with me! For more photos, feel free to check out some of our friends' sites CB and cashew

Chickpea's Newborn Photo Session

It has been so hectic here with moving, getting both homes in order, and taking care of both a toddler and newborn that we haven't gotten much of a chance to post. In the midst of the craziness, we did get a chance to take photos of Baby Braedyn as a newborn at 1 week old. Here's a few pics from our session. Enjoy

Double Happiness

Here I am having fun dressing the kiddos up in identical outfits for the first time. Daddy dressed them up in similar sleeping clothes last night, and I decided to pull out and try the organic cardigans I had purchased beforehand. These photos of my little prepsters were snapped just this morning :) It was cute how Chickpea smiled when Sweetpea was pointing out the animals to him (mainly the giraffe).

Chickpea's One Month Report Card

Chickpea just had his one month checkup Monday of last week, exactly one month from his date of birth. Although healthy and measuring proportionally, Chickpea seems to measure much smaller than we expected. Apparently, the male growth chart is different from the female growth chart, and unlike his older sister who constantly measured in the top percentiles in the female charts especially in height in the infant stage, Chickpea weighed in at 8lb 5oz (10-25 percentile) and measured 21" in height (25 percentile) compared to other infants in the male growth chart. Looking back, it appears that Sweetpea actually weighed more than Chickpea at one month... But to be fair, her appointments were always a week later and he was also born a week earlier, so that may make some difference. Regardless, Chickpea is growing well and is on track with his developmental progress.

Happy Birthday to Our Little Sweetpea!

Sweetpea turns two today. Because she likes animals, we celebrated by throwing her a farm party. They say first birthdays are more for the parents having survived the first year with their little one. This year is especially different since Sweetpea is more aware of everything and can understand so much more, including the concept of birthdays. She was actually pretty excited about her birthday and had been singing one of her favorite songs "happy birthday" constantly whenever she saw something that reminded her of birthdays (cake, balloons, candles, bday hat, etc.); she also enjoys "reading" her one year birthday luau photobook we created. "Happy Bir-day dear Calolyn, happy bird-ay to you. yay!"
