Halloween and October Harvest Party 2009

While mommy went to the craft store to pick up materials to make daddy's ears, daddy decided to have a little fun with little Sweetpea and do some comparison shots of Sweetpea in her flower costume last year and this year. Here's a few of the photos.

Sweetpea looks so big in the costume now. The size actually says 0-6 months. Since daddy couldn't find the huggulugs she wore in the previous picture, he used the bottom for her costume this year, the "hunny" pot.

We decided to coordinate this year and make our costumes based on little Sweetpea's. From black and yellow felt, mommy sewed up a simple bee costume and created antennas with pipe cleaners and foam balls. Daddy, as you can see, was Pooh bear. We just had to sew some ears to a hoodie and with a cropped red pooh shirt, daddy's costume was complete :)

This year we didn't go to the big mall like last year, but we did stop by Crossroads, a small shopping center by our home, and Sweetpea got a really neat book from trick-or-treating at the library within Crossroads. Afterwards, we headed to the annual Happyfish costume party. We didn't get a chance to take a group picture, but here are some fun pics of this year's creativity.

Unfortunately, we didn't get a shot of a few latecomers but hopefully one of our friends will have more pics to share. It's always fun to see and guess what everyone is going to dress up as. It's not often that we adults get a chance to dress up and play a different role. Along with the games and festivities, we also got to celebrate Auntie N's birthday.

We hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween/fall this year. Looking forward to more holiday festivities to come!
