Last Wednesday was Sweetpea's 14 month birthday. Here's what our funny girl has been doing lately:
Sweetpea started getting up and trying to walk at about 13 and a half months. The last time she made major developments was when we were in Virginia in May. At that time, she started doing many things including crawling which is something that we thought she would never do since she disliked tummy time and being on the floor. What a surprise when she started crawling around late; since she was an early cruiser, we figured she would go right into walking early. Alas, babies do have their own timing indeed. We're told that they just get up and go one day... something just clicks in their brain, and they just know how to walk on their own.... It keeps us on our toes as we anticipate this exciting moment and as we worry about her falling and hitting something every time she attempts to stand up and try.
Crawling or walking, once Sweetpea was mobile, we knew we had to do a bit of baby-proofing around the house especially with the stairs. Here's her reaction to that:

she is such a cute, fearless little thing! =) I like her voice. I think by the time I see her next, she'll be running around.
