Seven Days Old

Today, I am 1 week old. It has been scary but exciting as I experience different sensations for the first time. Mommy and daddy has tried to show me their love by comforting me every time I cry. At first, we had limited visitors as we all adjusted to each other and as mommy and daddy tried to console me when I kept crying and had a constant demand to be fed (mommy and daddy are not really sure what it was but the day after the first 24 hours was especially difficult). Anyhow, as we learned daily, we have come to adjust and adapt better and are off to new challenges and experiences every day. Here's a picture of daddy and me during our first morning at home.

Mommy, daddy, and I are very blessed to have such great aunties and uncles who have given us advice, shared experiences, and helped us adjust to new family life. Here are some pictures of some of my visitors: Uncle Jeffrey and Auntie Grace got to see me the day I was born because they live really close to the hospital. The next day, Pastor/Uncle Solomon stopped by and prayed for our new family. He has four daughters of his very own, so I will have four JieJie(older sisters) to play with. After his rounds, Uncle David also stopped by to say hi.

Little Cashew and her family came by our house to visit and meet me; I can't wait til I'm old enough to play with my two jiejie next door. Mommy and Daddy also want to thank their whole family for their thoughtfulness in bringing mommy some Chinese post-maternity soup and providing mommy with some recipes. The other day, I also met my new friend Lia and her parents. She is only two months older than me, and I know we'll have lots of fun playing together. Here's a picture of us. I like to keep my hands near me, so one of my arms is hidden in the gown. Stay tuned for more pictures of me, my story, and my adventures
