Far Away From Home

It has been a while since we blogged on our site. Things have been crazy busy with the addition of little Chickpea. One felt busy and a bit challenging, but two when they are really small more than double the challenge. Anyhow, the kids are growing so fast. It's so cute to watch them play together. And, Chickpea is getting faster every day. We'll try to post some photos when we get home of some long overdue family adventure and other updates as well as just recent photos. For now, mommy and daddy and kids have parted ways for the week... mommy to Vegas and Daddy and the children to Vegas. Above are photos of the kids playing at the airport before we caught our flights. It is the first time I've been far away from the children for this long, so I was a bit worried, especially for baby Chickpea. He had a tough time adjust initially but seems to be doing much better. We try to do facetime whenever we get a chance... ah, the beauty of modern technology... but it is still not the same as Chickpea does not seem to quite understand what is going on and Sweetpea does not like to talk on the phone for very long. I wonder what effect it would have on baby Chickpea and if he would kind of forget me, or if we would pick up right where we left off... or if things will not be the same when we all go back home. Sweetpea, on the other hand, being much older, seems to be having a blast in Vegas. I told her I missed her, and she said she misses me also, but when I asked if she is ready to go home, she says, "no." LOL. She enjoys spending time with her cousins and playing in her Lolo and Lola's home in Vegas as well as tickling her uncle Mike. Well, only a few more days left before I can hold them again. When we get back, it will be quite an adjustment as we also prepare for me to go back to work. We will need to find good care or preschool for the children. For Chickpea, we have a bit of time as Lola has offered to help watch the children for a while, but we still need to find a good place for Chickpea since it is not easy finding an opening for childcare for children under 2 as those spaces are more limited. Please pray for our family while we go through all the transition.
