Chickpea just had his one month checkup Monday of last week, exactly one month from his date of birth. Although healthy and measuring proportionally, Chickpea seems to measure much smaller than we expected. Apparently, the male growth chart is different from the female growth chart, and unlike his older sister who constantly measured in the top percentiles in the female charts especially in height in the infant stage, Chickpea weighed in at 8lb 5oz (10-25 percentile) and measured 21" in height (25 percentile) compared to other infants in the male growth chart. Looking back, it appears that Sweetpea
actually weighed more than Chickpea at one month... But to be fair, her appointments were always a week later and he was also born a week earlier, so that may make some difference. Regardless, Chickpea is growing well and is on track with his developmental progress.
