Growth Update

Our little Sweetpea is growing up so fast. I wanted to do a before and after post a few months after Sweetpea was born but never got around to it. Here's some comparison shots: (few weeks versus approx 3 months)

In a few days, Sweetpea will be 10 months old. She is at a fun age right now, and she makes us laugh all the time with the new things that she does and discoveries that she makes. There is always something new every day!

She has never been too fond of tummy time, but lately, she doesn't seem to mind being on her tummy as much, since she can roll around better. In fact, we sometimes catch her sleeping on her tummy. Though we haven't seen her crawl, she seems to be on the verge... here's a clip of her scooting and reaching for a toy:

At about 9 and a half months, she started cruising (walking along couches, tables, etc). She has also learned to drink from a sippy cup and really enjoys whatever beverage is offered (water, her milk, 50/50 juice and water, and fruit & yogurt smoothie).

Her hand coordination has also gotten better. She can turn off the lights, and she can now put the ball back into the top of her gumball machine toy, press the lever, and watch the ball come down and repeat again. She also looks for things that drop or fall to the ground even if she dropped it on purpose.

A few days ago, at almost 10 months, we discovered that her first tooth is starting to come out. There has been so many times we thought it would sprout but it didn't, so we gave up guessing and just kept checking. Well, this time, we definitely feel something on the bottom gum :)
